Goodreads Review - "Us Against You"

Us Against You (Beartown, #2)Us Against You by Fredrik Backman
My rating: 5 of 5 stars

This book is so worth the read and was the better one of the series, but you have to read "Beartown" first in order to really know the characters & the town. "Beartown" tells us what happened, and "Us Against You" tells us what the aftermath was. The quote at the front of the book really sums up the entire story: "Have you ever seen a town fall? Ours did. Have you ever seen a town rise? Ours did that, too." This book evoked so many emotions from me (especially, the last 150+ pages) that I'm still trying to recover from it.

This is the 3rd book I have read from Fredrik Backman ("A Man Called Ove" & "Beartown") and he has yet to disappoint me. He has this way of telling a story that draws you in to all of the characters and makes you feel the emotions, as if you are the actual character in this story, even if you have never been through any of the situations that take place in the book.
